General Information for Senate District 43

Within the Republican Party, its core, grass root structure is set up as a Basic Political Operating Unit or often referred to as a BPOU.  Most BPOU’s are aligned according to a Senate District seat which is the case for Senate District 43 (SD43).  SD43 boundaries fall within Plymouth, Minnetonka and Medicine Lake.

SD43 BPOU also includes two State House districts which are HD43A and HD43B.  The Senate and State House seat boundaries are redrawn in the year following the US census.   

HD43A & B are further broken down into precincts.  There are 17 precincts each (34 total precincts) in HD43A & B.  When attending a convention or caucus meeting you will typical need to know which House district and precinct you live within.
